I completely misunderstood. I thought you said you had put another drive in the 
case. If it's the original drive and Disk Utility doesn't see it at all, 
something is either wrong with the enclosure or the hard drive. They have to be 
tested separately; get one of these; they are the best tool we have in the kit:
