First of all I don't think Thomas was expecting to acquire the rights to
Monty and Raceway when he was working on FC. Then it could also be that
people at AudioGames.net (who shall remain nameless because I'm a respectful
kind of guy), were so impatient with Alchemy that they wanted Monty. So
maybe Thomas decided to finish the game. Then again it could also be that he
was just plain fascinated with the idea. I agree that a developer should
work on as few titles at once as possible, but I think it's more of a stress
thing. Some can handle more projects. Besides, it's not as though he'd set
release dates for any of these games. He's got plenty of time. Granted I get
the impression he was farther along with FC than Monty so it would make
sense to us that he finished that first, but give him time. He hasn't let us
down so far and there's no reason to think he'd start now. I want Final
Conflict just as much as you do.
As for weapons not being subtracted, I've never noticed that. Maybe it
doesn't happen right during combat but once all the ships were destroyed
I've always noticed that I'm down to however many torpedos etc that I should
have. If I fired 200 photons I was always down to 100, immediately after
combat if not during.

It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no place to go.
