Hi Dave, I don't know if you have ever played GMA Tank Commander, but GMA did find a way to allow you to command several tanks at once. You pressed c to bring up a list of tanks under your command, you selected it, and then told it where to go, and they were then commanded by the AI when it came to combat. In this way I could see STFC being played in similar fassion where you are commanding Defiant or Enterprise or some ship, and you order your fleet to move in on a Starbase outpost, or tell some ships to circle around and attack the Cardassian fleets left and right flanks etc... It is a doable concept, but I'm wondering if we really want to do full fleet engagements again or be more Star Trek like where you command a single vessel on deep space exploration and encounter enemy ships along the way. I think a series of different missions is more fun than just creating a big galaxy where everyone else wants to kick your butt, and you have to defeat them fleet to fleet.
