Hi Kara.

i did not recognize the name, but when you describe the game I do remember playing something very similar on the amiga computer, and indeed playing a pc graphical remake more recently.

I can well imagine representing your own ship zooming around the sides and top of the tube, by representing it's movement in sterrio, and having an inverted engine sound for when your at the top, all flowing seemlessly one into another, and similarly using graded audio for the positions of your enemies. The problem is that all you would essentially then have is a glorified space invaders where you'd only be reacting to the enemy's emmediate audio position, having to move to where you heard an enemy and shooting them, neither can I really think of a way to show those distant enemies you mention.

Then again, I admit I'm not %100 familiar with how the game works, indeed if I remember rightly those distant enemies were too small for me to see so I had to just react to what was on the sides of the tube, so it's entirely possible someone more familiar with the game idea could come up with either a way to think of adapting the game, or at least some suitable mechanics to add the challenge to an audio remake.

Beware the gruie!

Dark.
