Hi,
Well, some of those sounds would be cool for a totally retro feel, but 
are impractical for an accessible game. As I pointed out a gamelike 
Asteroids would sound way cooler using modern day sound effects rather 
than the bleeps, boops, and bangs available for elate 70's and early 
80's video games.
I've got some cool sounds I picked out for my own Asteroid clone, but I 
have been tied up with other things to complete the project.
