Hi Tyler,
Yes, it would be possible, but I never include any fowl language in my
games beeped out or not. I try to make most of my games E rated.
However, that isn't to say I haven't thought about some Teen rated or
Mature rated games.
A couple of months ago there was a discussion about possibly some day,
obviously not now, taking on a more true doom clone. Doom would
definitely fall in the Teen rated games with all the killing, violence,
and horror type theme. Though, I am still uncertain if a true Doom
knock-off would sell since there is already Shades Of Doom which has the
basic sort of concept.
Another game in the Teen or Mature category I have pondered for the
future is an accessible knock-off of Resident Evil. In all the game
seams fairly easy to create since the first game takes place in a
shopping mall and those kinds of effects can easily be gotten from
recording blaring rock music for the music store, toys for the toy
store, cooking food for the food court, trailers playing for the
theater, and escalator sound effects are no big deal to get hold of aether.
One of the boss monsters in Resident Evil, a killer clown with a
chainsaw, shouldn't exactly be to hard to create. Get something with a
dark clown laugh, a chainsaw, and there you go.
However, rating games in our acessible games market is a bit difficult.
While Resident Evil has a mature label for sighted gamers the rating is
there do to the extreme graphics and mature content like partly nude
zombies and the fight seens can be gory I am told. Which gory sightes
and mature half nude creatures don't apply to us. Just the application
of violence.
