I think for reversals and multi-hitting moves, streets of rage 2 even beat double dragon imho.

My favourite of that style of move is Skate's dynamite headbut.

Wheel along on rowler skates, flip up into a ball smacking one thug in the chest, then flip out with a summersault that could not only take out another thug in front of you, but give anyone sneaking in behind a dentle appointment with your skate wheels.

Beware the Grue!

Hi,
Sure. One of the things i Liked about Double Dragon III was Billy's
nifty reverse kick. You could punch one enemy in front of you and at
the same time kick the guy sneeking up behind you in the jaw. It was a
pretty slick trick.
As far as walk along beat-m-ups like Double Dragon you could usually
grab weapons the enemies dropped. if the enemy was carrying metal
pipes, bats, guns, whips, whatever once you knocked that guy out you
could take his weapon and go to town on the rest of his buddies. The
baseball bat was always fun because you could beat the tar out of the
enemies with that.

Yeah. I hope it gets pulled off... though the one thing I demand is if
you're going marcial arts style with the story and game play, there has to
be at least 1 point where there are more than four enemies in the area...
and in my opinion, characters in brawlers have to have moves that can take
it more than 1 opponent as well. Weapons would be nice, too.
