Try heading back to town and selling stuff off regularly, maybe it's that
your inventory is too large (I know jason said he was going to implement
inventory limits, maybe he hasn't yet).
personally, I head back to town and sell stuff every floor, ---- maybe this
is why I haven't had this issue sinse Jason fixed the corpse trouble.
