I had nasty visions of you having to mark out patrol routes for enemies or the like in it which would be horrible, ---- or at least it sounds that way to someone with my spacial awareness or lack there of.

Hi Dark,
The only time the Cartesian direction degrees comes into play is when teleporting a player or other creature to a new location.
Then you have to specify 0 if facing east.
