Hi, Well, not as far as MOTA is concerned. My wife and I have been discussing the issue and I think we've pretty much come up with something of a compromise for both parties.
To begin with I'm pretty dead set on making Mysteries of the Ancients a full 3d FPS game. I can tell there are certainly people like Michael who are all for that. However, I'm a realist and know there will probably be a few customers who will demand their money back or make an issue of getting a side-scroller. As you can imagine settling that drastic difference of opinion isn't easy. So what we have decided is to create Mysteries of the Ancients and any sequels in that series strictly 3d FPS. If there is still a huge demand for a side-scroller we could create a side-scroller more or less like Montezuma's Revenge, Pitfall, etc and give it to those customers who are not satisfied with a 3d FPS title. This side-scroller wouldn't be Mysteries of the Ancients, but some other treasure hunting adventure more or less like what you paid for originally but with its own story, characters, and probably better sounds and music. So to answer your question more directly we are going to work on two projects. One is the Tomb Hunter 3d FPS series of games, and a secondary game like Panama Joe and the Temple of Gold to satisfy those customers who really want a side-scroller for their money.
