Hi Tom.
I have never heard of passport drives which is why I backup on a powered 2
tb external. I do however frequently use thumb drives to transfer small
amounts of stuff from my desktop to my laptop and visa versa when I've been
using one or the other, or when I want to give something to a friend,
however sinse a full backup of my machine would be about 600 gb worth they
aren't big enough for a perminant solution, usefull though they still are.
beware the grue!
