Well liam, thinking about what you wrote regarding super egghuntt I do have
one thought.
I tried the game, I liked the game, and I am quite content to pay 15 usd for
an arcade game, sinse the extra modes, trophies etc clearly make it a much
longer game than just the turn on and play affair (there are indi graphical
arcade games for the pc at similar price).
However when i considdered buying the game, I started to think about whether
I actually wanted! another arcade game generally speaking. I've just got my
Iphone with king of dragon pass, and i'm still playing smugglers 5, not to
mention core exiles.
My first love in games is always exploring new levels, mazes etc, plot,
story and atmosphere, and on that basis I'm very much looking forward to
your zombi appoacalypse game, however with super egghunt I asked myself
exactly how much would I at this point, where I have some many more complex
and in depth games to play an arcade title in which the environment remains
fairly similar for each game mode, and in which though there are many
trophies to unlock and different styles of play and variations, there aren't
really any new discoveries in terms of plot, new setting, extra weapons etc.
the answer I came up with was not as much, and probably not 15 usd worth.
Were this three or four years ago, back when I first bought judgement day
etc, I'd love to buy super egghunt plus and doubtless play it a lot, but
given the other sorts of games available to me now, and the sort of time I
like to spend on playing games myself, it just wouldn't be worth the money
to me.
Of course, circumstances change, and I am not off the possibility of getting
the game at some future point, perhaps when I am a little more busy and want
more games that I can put on and play without thinking.
I wonder how similar this circumstance is for others? sinse while a very
well put together arcade game, there are still lots of arcade games around
and for people who want something a little more complex and atmospheric
there are far more alternatives.
Just a thought.
as I said, your zombi game I'm greatly looking forward to and will doubtless
buy as soon as it is available, as that sort of plot, mechanics and
environment in an action game is just my sort of thing.
all the best,
Dark.
