Leon,
I saw nothing in this discussion that would say anything that would not make me
want to hire him more. I think the thread was more about the possibility of
improper benefits to an athlete.

That being said, I find the discussion about him charging differential fees
particularly interesting relative to the NCAA improper benefits issue. I know
of several attorneys that do that with most everyone they represent. If the
person is poor, they will charge according to the person's ability to pay. I
suspect that this is not an uncommon practice. How then would the NCAA
determine the "fair market price" for legal services?

I would advise caution in this discussion. Impugning the character and honesty
of an attorney may be cause for a slander law suite.

Let me clarify - there is no quid pro quo in charging them less, but he knows
by doing so he will benefit from the publicity of representing UF players.

Not at all - I'm guessing it's well known among the players that he has a good
track record for getting charges reduced or dismissed and he probably charges
them less in exchange for the publicity of representing UF players. I don't
think that is a violation of NCAA rules.

I have a question about Huntley Johnson. How is it that all these players
magically go to one guy? And how is it these players, many from very poor
families can afford an attorney like Huntley?

Not trying to imply anything, but doesn't this appear suspicious to anyone
else? How does it work, is there a pre-paid student legal service, I have one
of those through my employer. Huntley can not offer his services pro-bono as
that would be an NCAA violation. My feeble inquiring mind wants to know.

Leonard was released on his own recognizance by Alachua County Judge Tom

The judge also told Leonard and his attorney, Huntley Johnson, that Leonard was
