I hate to talk about my colon in public LOL, but I did get Salmonella, group
G, subspecies poonis [almost always restricted to reptiles], but.......

****It was from my own carelessness****.

I really take offense to these people wanting to ban herps using that as a
crutch, when, in my case, this was the one and only problem in more than ten
years of working with herps, and there are thousands who never have a
problem.

But - this is how messes like this come about....within two days, the health
department was ringing my phone off the hook (the hospital and state [here]
are required to report it). They interrogated me! and they warned me that
this information would be used also in studies involving exotics, and lo and
behold, here we are....

Yes, I do know it can kill children and the immunocompromised - but I don't
think it's really a fair argument on the HSUS's part. You can get
toxoplasmosis from a cat, right? And I've had cats for 35 years......

Just my ramblings......
