Phoenix is a no frills version of Mozilla. Nice, small and fast. The flip side is that Phoenix does not include an email client, but if you daughter only uses Yahoo, she should be fine with it. You may need to test if your daughter's school's(?) mail server lets Yahoo Mail check her email account.
