The Line: we only provide network cards for installation for PCs without
CDROM drives. We do not provide other hardware and we do not trouble-shoot
hardware problems other than those related to the network card.

Ahhhhhhh, acute mental conflict! I hate a thing that does not work, but
I also know that getting dragged into hardware debugging can eat up
hours of time.

I've managed to get a Debian mirror working and I'm going to bring some
networking equipment in for it. Your cat5 cable would be helpful.

I've got a box full of old network cards, and even whole working systems
that I could bring in and swap, but I'm loath to get into that.

Where should we draw the line? What works best?
