I am attempting to set up an oslug here at ULL i wish it were as easy as setting up a mailing list. But then, I am having difficulty finding people to devote much time to it (i have been busy myself).
just to let you know im trying the same thing :) --mat On Tue, 2003-09-30 at 13:52, John Hebert wrote: > I can't offer much in the way of help other than ideas. > > I recommend that your first task be to setup a mailing list for this > initiative and then advertise somehow to potential members. In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> More later, but I am thinking a mini Brlug. There is interest in an LSU site to organize Open Source software efforts and software. There is interest in day time meetings. A mailing list would be great, and I do not think the BRLUG should pick up the tab or the labor. However, a campus LUG would be constantly shifting. BRLUG would be the hub, a campus LUG would have to come to papa to get anything done. A campus LUG might be able to get something the BRLUG has always had problems with though... Money. More later. This came up through complaints. It will all come out in the wash. No hurries, no worries. There is time...
