Actually, the BRLUG has never had an issue with money. I have the group organized in such a way that there are no dues or any other requirements. This is quite intentional. Case in point, when the idea of working more closely with the Clickers came up my main reason to pass on the initial idea--other than just wanting to maintain independence--was the dues requirement. We now have an even better arrangement anyway: We supply qualified people such as Will and the Clickers leave the newbie meetings open to non-Clickers. I do appreciate the idea of helping other Linux-focused organizations, and I know we are certainly willing to look further into it. We are here to advocate Linux after all. If the LSU people want to come up with a specific plan be sure to post it here and we can take a look. And like John says, the BRLUG has no monopoly on Linux advocacy here in Baton Rouge or on campus. Do not label anything under the BRLUG umbrella though unless it's discussed here and approved. :) --- Dustin Puryear Puryear Information Technology, LLC http://www.puryear-it.com Providing expertise in the management, integration, and security of Windows and UNIX systems, networks, and applications.
