Yes, and if you want 64-bit support, doubly yes. We're standardized on 
Dell as well, so unfortunately that means no AMDs for us, but if they 
were available, we'd buy AMD-based machines wherever it was cost 
effective. I'm using a Precision workstation with a Xeon processor and 
it's fast, but the machine also doubles as a space heater:
