+1 (binding). I recently tried to add features to PonyMail,
specifically regarding long-term tokens and eventually closed my PR. I
think Pony Mail is absolutely ready for graduation.

I had very productive discussions with PonyMail team and learned a lot
from them—you cloud see that the IPMC members know their stuff. I
could experiment and explore PonyMail details thanks to those
discussions.

Also to Tison's concerns:

* it was very easy to get PonyMail environment up and running -
including ElasticSearch + Docker Compose

* the authentication part - that is part of the 3rd-party deployment
for ASF is really a plugin, so it's quite understandable - and nothing
special - that ASF software is deployed while being extended with
3rd-party extensions. Of course, it happens that it is deployed for
ASF and with INFRA "managing" the relationship with the third party,
but I do not see anything strange—rather, I find it entirely normal
that ASF releases software that someone deploys with modifications or
plugins or extensions

* I do not think PonyMail MCP has anything to do with how PonyMail is
deployed for ASF. This is INFRA thing. They could use different
software; they chose PonyMail, and they could host it themselves - or
choose a 3rd-party. All of it is fine.

* I see it very similar situation to Magpie and being used by ASF
PMCs. Magpie releases software (SKILL based). Nobody tells the PMCs
to use it, just as nobody tells Infra to use PonyMail. They can use it
if they see value in it. Magpie PMC releases software; other PMCs
might use it or not, as they wish. Building and releasing software is
one thing, whether others use it is different - even within the same
organisation.

Dave, Rich - would you agree with that parallel? I think it's pretty
appropriate. I think it might help address Tison's doubts.
