Oracle under Linux tends to be horribly sensitive to variations in libraries. (Heck, it's that way under Solaris too). I'm not going to say "be very careful" because that doesn't mean anything... but I will say "do tell us how it goes as the underlying Gentoo system and it's shared libraries upgrade over time"
