hi all,
i have recently been haveing problems running some applications, and am
not sure why - or when exactly the problems started occurring.
when running vlc, i get the following error (outputs to the console):
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 78 (X_CreateColormap)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 21
Current serial number in output stream: 22
i get a similar error when attempting to run xscreensaver-demo (or when
xscreensaver attempts to run the screensaver) the difference with the
error in these cases is the number after: 'Serial number of failed
request:' and 'Current serial number in output stream:'
