For starters I think just having the program generate a zip file that the user then attaches to a jira issue is not going to be that hard... wouldn't it? Sending a mail automatically requires the user to configure a smtp server with eventual access credentials. Accessing Jira has the same access control issues. Just give the user a zip file that he'll then send somewhere manually, seems easy enough to me?
