Hi Andrea, I have found that the package in Maven is actually linked to from the IBM website, which proves at least that it is there with the full blessing of IBM.

I'm very confident we can use it for the tests, I'm just more confused about how packaging it up with GeoTools or GeoServer works, which is why I marked it "provided", though I do expect it's fine to distribute (and if you are happy, I am happy). Probably each individual user of the plugin should be responsible for complying with the Informix license agreement. Maybe we could put a link to it in the documentation?
