Hi Janet,
    The does that I used that did clear up the respiratory infection was
the dosage for a canary, that is 250 mg of Tetracycline Hydrochloride
per an 8 oz bottle of water.

    Note however that my instructions said to change the water every 24
hours, so I used 1/2 a tablet with 4 oz of water (so as to not waste the
medicine).  I was planning to go for 10 days as a couple of people on
the list recommended, but one of the pups was still not well so I ended
up going for 14 days. Watch for your pups to be clicking quite a bit,
puffed up fur, eyes 3/4 open/glazy.  Labored breathing (sides heaving in
and out) is a very bad sign.
