Why do they sell cigarettes? promote tanning beds? race greyhounds?
(Ever check out the number or greyhound rescue organizations in this
country?) Why do pet stores buy puppies from puppy mills thus
promoting a HORRIBLE practice? And I've been told numerous times
gerbils do great by themselves and hamsters should be kept in
groups!? Why are mink farmed and chinchillas farmed for fur when they
can make the almost exact same stuff artificially without sacrificing
animals? (chinnies make AWESOME pets!) And not to get into politics,
nut why when Florida has had trouble with those ballots for previous
local elections did they not fix them for a national elections?
Money, ignorance and laziness. Just what Deb said - it sells...just
like puppies in pet stores, cigarettes, greyhound racing, etc... I'm
certainly not here to preach, but in my many years of life and
animals, you have to make sure who you believe, do your research and
realize that money is a HUGE motivator......
