Hello, I was wondering if someone could give me advice. A couple days ago I bought my month old or so gerbil a new cage. (One of those ones with all the tubes)I put her this observation deck and shut the door not knowing that the end of her tall was stuck in the door. A few seconds later I saw the end of her tail sticking out a little. So I opened the door to let it go. She scurried down to the main house. I felt really bad. Then a few moments later I saw some blood on the end of her tail. I immediately took her out and found she had a small wound on the end of her tail. Also she was bleeding. (Not bad bleeding)So I put her tail in hydrogen peroxide. It stopped bleeding and put her back in her cage for the night and she's okay. But I wanted to ask was that the best thing to do?
