Unfortunately not everyone has that option of having a good vet nearby with
experience neutering small animals. I have a friend in NY who has had several
of her males neutered because she does know such a person, and I recently
sold a pair of gerbs to a very nice young vet in VA who has done that
procedure on her own gerbils! LOL But VA is 4 hrs from here. I have split
some of my pairs. One is fine, the oher... the male died 3 wks later. (Kept
with 2 of his sons as well, and a young gerb.) Which does make me wonder.
