Do think this setup would work for other rodents as well as, say...mice?

i keep my gerbils in a set up similar to the one u described.... i use peat
moss, a sturdy very clean "dirt"... so far two litters have been concieved
and raised and now are all sold in this set up; the gerbils absolutely
thrive!!!
