Who knows exactly what happened. It isn't
hard to break a leg.

Correct. Unless it really swells up (which usually comes from
a more severe and complicated fracture with bleeding around
the site) or the bone protrudes....it will heal on it's own.
Quiet location for cage, keep the animal by itself, remove toys
and things to climb, and it will recover. I still suggest giving toilet
tissue rolls for it to have something to do, but the idea is to keep
the activity level down while things mend.
