We are dealing with this right now, too.
The sooner you can get it done, the better.
The surgery is easier when the tumor is still small, and
there is less chance of it growing inward.
And these things can grow very fast.

We are having one of our males scheduled for this surgery on
Thursday and another the week after. They are brothers and
both have scent gland tumors.
Another of their brothers had this surgery done a few months
ago, and is doing great.
I hope these 2 will turn out fine as well.

Our vet did use the gas anaesthesia.
