Yeah. So that you can download LibGII and LibGGI standalone. It should
pretty much be an issue of a few extra tar commands.

No - I thought about an automated snapshot generation. For a release I can
always do manual tarballs.

No - I don't think so. Docbook is readable for humans if necessary, and
those wanting beautified output might as well install the tools.

Manpages are another story, as any serious lib should have them, and
generating them might cause too many requirements on the compiling 
platform.

I think for that very document, it is important to be right in the main
directory when unpacking a tarball.

We get quite some questions that could have been solved by the doc
subdirectory, but somehow people seem to be scared about looking there 
...
