Hi folks! I've been debating ordering glasses online for a few years now, but I always shied away from it because of horror stories of awful customer service, poorly cut lenses, damaged glasses and whathaveyou - and of course, I'm concerned about the specs looking ugly once received. However, I've been tempted back to the realm of cheap glasses because I'm sorely in need of a new pair!
My main concern at this point is the fact that my prescription is fairly strong at -6.25 dipoters in one eye and -4.75 in the other. I've found two pairs from Zenni and another from Bestprice Glasses that I really like. Because I'm cheap and don't care much about the aesthetics of lens thickness, I'm opting for the basic 1.57 lenses. I'm wondering, has anyone with a prescription as strong as mine purchased frames with mix-index lenses? If so, are they ridiculously thick? Do they make your eyes look large and silly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :o) Thanks! Katie --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
