While my line of sight is blocked by a hill, my sister on the other side just had a few house roofs but extreme interference on the BBC-A multiplex, UHF Ch23. Last weekend it sounded like a machine gun, with horizontal bands of TV lines blocked. I phoned Freeview Monday morning, they said it sounded like a problem with a local mobile phone mast. and told me to how to get a bandpass filter free of charge. The TV multiplex completely disappeared by Monday afternoon, the filter arrived Wednesday, and all interference has now gone. I will investigate the cost of FTTP through a telephone provider, it sounds interesting. Transport for London are the main authority by my front door and responsible for safety on the A40 Western Avenue together with any local works. -- Chris Bell www.chrisbell.org.uk -- GLLUG mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/gllug
