Ah ha! An A&P with some common sense! (Some say Mogas makes you grow
hair
on your palms.)

I use a dedicated 5 gallon plastic gas can. I use a 12 volt fuel pump and
an
inline filter with a glass housing, so I can see what's going through.
Keep
the can on the ground when filling and transferring and you should not
have
any static issues. The fuel pump only pumps 30 gallons/hour, not fast
enough
to generate static. It'll transfer the whole can (really about 6 gallons)

while I preflight the plane.

As far as alcohol goes, In Mass and New Hampshire, and probably
Connecticut
too, Fuel with alcohol has to be marked as such. I have never seen a pump
so
marked. I test the fuel periodically, and always get it from the same
place(s). I have never found alcohol.

Lastly, if you can get Amoco Premium in your area, that's the best, IMHO.
We
can't, and so a number of us all buy from the same Exxon station. More
eyes
watching the hen house, so to speak.

Your valve stems, guides and spark plugs will thank you.

John
