Maybe I'm all wet but something in this refueling exchange isn't adding up
to me.
when refueling at the airport gas pump, that grounding  strap with the
clip
is connected to a positive earth ground so I'm thinking that a simple
length of wire with a rod on one end pushed into the ground and the other
end with a clip attached to the exhaust pipe would be a positive ground
for
the aircraft.
if a wire is attached to the funnel, fuel container and exhaust pipe, the
plane is still standing on rubber wheels and is not grounded.  Yes ?? No
??
has my thinking gone kaddiwompus or what???
