Hi Folks,

On takeoff, my RPM rolled back to about 1000 RPM, then came back up to
full power. I turned downwind, only to have the same thing happen
again. Power came back again, and as I was climbing to get some
altitude, it rolled back to 1000 RPM once again.

I tried carb heat, switching mags, checked the throttle, I had a lot of
gas.....

On the ground, all cables for throttle and mixture checked good.

My friend seems to think that there is something preventing the bowl
from being able to keep up with the required fuel flow, and the engine
starves, the bowl fills back up, power goes back to normal, until the
bowl is dry again....

Anyway, the A&P is looking into it, I wanted to know if anyone has
experienced this.

I've got a Continental C-85 w/the 337 to upgrade the carb..

THanks,

Matt
