You're so right.  It's a suing society.  It's good to have the
appropriate paperwork/waiver to back you up should anything happen.

You should see the waiver we have to sign to be a Pylon Judge at the Reno
Air Races.

As we all know, flying can definitely hurt or kill us if things go
terribly wrong.  I think that adults and kids old enough to get it should
understand that before they even step into the plane.  From my limited
experience, I'd say that people to generally understand the risks they're
accepting by flying more than they understand the risk they're taking
every time they get into the car.

Personally, I'd rather be in a plane any day than out on a congested
freeway.  It's so easy, at least in CA, to get a passenger car driver's
licence.  Scary.

Anyway,  one must protect one's assets (and ass) from those who would sue.
If I get the opportunity to fly with any of you folks in your planes, I'd
be more than happy to sign a waiver.
