To All,

Thanks for the overwhelming responses to the problem. Please keep them
coming as I am forwarding them to the A&P in Kentucky. Sure hope we don't
have to pull the cylinders.

By the way, My baffles are all aluminum. I don't have the rubber baffle
tape anywhere on the baffles. The front right baffle that the top air flow
hole in the nosebowl feeds has cracked at the support, allowing it to fall
about 3/4 of an inch. What I mean is the top air flows over the top 3/4 of
the cylinder instead of only 1/2 of the cylinder. When it shifted down,
the
baffle was chaffing my right cowl cover so I used a pair of plyers to bend
down about 1/16th of an inch so that it would not rub the cowl cover.
Could
this small of a change be the cause of the problem?? The A&P did not feel
that it was, but he is not an Ercoupe expert. Are the baffles that
sensitive?
