In 1941-42 the coupe sold out of J.C. Penny Co in Denver. They used Sky
Ranch east of Denver to demo. the planes. A 65 hp with wood prop. they
demo,ed this way . full back on yoke full power up to field alt (at that
time 600) brought it around chopped throttle and no power landed.ALL AT
FULL
BACK YOKE. THIS AT MI. HIGH ALT. That sold my dad on the ercoupe and he
bought 99136 after the war in June of 1946.  Jim P

Hartmut, how can you say that.  2,000 ft. per minute sink rate is about
the
same sink rate as the afore mentioned 800 lb. cook stove.  The touchdown
wouldn't be a pretty scene, and I doubt it'd be a walk away from landing.
