Hey Bill Alpine <http://www.washington.edu/alpine/> is developed by the University of Washingon. It is a successor to Pine <http://www.washington.edu/pine/>, which was a purely text-based mailer designed to run on a Linux/UNIX terminal. All commands are therefore via keyboard, no mouse clicks. It is fast and pretty powerful, but doesn't do pretty rich-text stuff. It's all just good old plain-text. This is for purists!
Vim <http://www.vim.org/about.php> is a powerful text editor, based on the old 'vi' which was de-facto on *NIX systems. Again, for purists ;) On Sat, Mar 16, 2013 at 6:44 PM, Bill Holmes <[email protected]> wrote: > I would be interested to know about Alpine and Vim. I am a power > emailer.
