Sorry If this is a re-post. I think I'm having trouble getting through to 
the group. Have tried this reply twice previously. The Google Contacts list 
does not have the missing contacts, the ones I  manually added to the 
phone. I took the phone to the Verizon store where I bought it. The sales 
rep took me through a procedure for manually synch'ing the phone with 
Contacts (Settings/Accounts/Google/[myaccount name]/Synch Contacts). The 
phone appeared to synch in the store - but the missing contacts are still 
missing. It did not synch with either Google Contacts list, or with my 
computers.

I'll try a factory reset. If that doesn't work, maybe there's something 
faulty about this sample of the phone.
