I think both are important.  The only reason I keep windows around (on
another rarely used machine thankfully) is because of Word and DVD
support.  Occasionally, I am required to write something in a Word
format for other's compability, and I occasionally watch DVDs on the
computer.  If it weren't for this, I would ditch windows in a second.
