  Indeed.

  In the long term, Linux's best bet for mass retail pre-installs is to get
large companies interested in the cost savings Linux can provide.  Said large
companies will then start asking their computer system vendors for Linux
pre-installs and support.  Those vendors won't do it for me and you, but they
will do it for a company that orders new PCs in lots of two thousand.  Once
the vendors and OEMs have that support structure in place, they will make it
available to everyone.

  We're already starting to see this with Dell.
