In my experience, big chain stores have ABSOLUTE policies about posting
flyers or any other form of "solicitation" by outside organizations.

I found this out when I asked a manager at Staples in West Lebanon about a
NNHLUG flyer.  

If they let US do it, the next thing you know, they are deluged with
posters from everyone imaginable....and think about it...are we the first
people to approach Wal-Mart? I think not.

However if we contacted WalMart HQ and offered to let them sell the GNHLUG
Linux distro, that we would wholesale to them for $4 in 1000 lots, they
might be interested...
