Sometimes some of that "talk" is company policy. Often when people say that they are 'forced" to use Windows, they don't mean that that need Windows for some reason or other, they mean that they are forced to use Windows. There is no application that need at work that doesn't have a better replacement on Linux. And I find the single desktop very limiting compared to my eight KDE desktops.
