I could be wrong, but from what I had heard, this lady was showing up
night after night for Karaoke, coming in *by herself*, buying one
soft drink, and sitting there all night long.

The owner of the establishment told her that he couldn't afford her
staying for so long without buying anything else, whether it be
alcohol or dinner. At that point she started spouting a bunch of
crap about her being a designated driver, etc.

Once again, one greedy individual makes a stink, the media doesn't
get the other side of the story, and a decent place is ruined for
everyone.

I could be wrong about this, and am more than willing to be
corrected. This "just something I heard", i.e. hear-say.

Personally, I'm not going to start boy-cotting an establishment which
has done me no personal harm based on one media story, especially
since I now question the integrity of both the article and the source
of the story.
