Under the German copyright act ONLY EXCLUSIVE LICENSEES CAN SUBLICENSE. Non-exclusive licensees can NOT sublicense no matter what the license says. For example, the MIT License http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php "the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense," is VOID regarding sublicensing under the German law. regards, alexander.
