Your work needs to also study the role of the Siddhis of Janjira who still speak the Salcette dialect of the Konkani language today in Karnataka and who have local Christian names like Bostaio,Marie,etc. and do study the role of the kunbis of Goa.,who were denied admission to the primary schools as their labour was required to work in the fields and in the property of the bhatcars.(landlords).

My name is Rochelle Fernandes. I am a PhD student at BITS Pilani, Goa. I am working on servitude in Colonial Goa. Has anyone come across census records of servants during the Portuguese Rule in Goa? I wanted to know if servants were listed and how they were labelled.
