It seems to me that the above are two divergent views; however, I will attempt to answer both:
(1) You suggest that Goans should �move away� from Govt/politicians; in other words, Goans should find their own solution to the problem presented by the current education system.
This is already happening -- thanks to the �tangled� education system, there are now scores of private schools mushrooming all over Goa, but this alternative (option) comes with a �price tag.� People who can afford, do send their kids to these private schools, and don�t ask what happens to those who can�t afford it �well, you do the math.
(2) Coming to your question on why not create an �Education Corporation� to �overhaul the current system� ?
So, what ever happened to the Education Department? What can an Education Corporation (comprising mostly of politicians) do, that an Education Department (staffed with educators and professionals) can�t ?
Through its own admission, the Govt acknowledges that Goa has an incoherent education system, hence the need for �change�. However, the Govt must make a compelling case, to substantiate the need for another �bonanza� (corporation) viz the �Education Corporation,� -- in addition to the existing �Education Department.� Importantly, the Govt needs to explain why a team of qualified educators and professionals are not considered competent in handling this crucial matter. Until then, there will always be a cloud over this issue.
